I knew it was time to move jobs in 2011 through a saying I have adopted, “if you are not growing, you are dying”. I hit the brick wall and I needed a new challenge.

Your comments about rose coloured glasses are very true. Before jumping the fence because the grass is meant to be greener, you need to solid reality check.

I couldn’t agree with you more Jeff. Smiling is infectious (in a good way)! It really does light up a person’s face. No, I’m not talking about those tight-lipped half-smiles of acknowledgment that society expects you to give, but the full-fledged, happy smile. When I see one, I want to smile back. You should be aware that Ladders.com has an automatic renewal policy where they charge you virtually ‘at will’. The policy states that you have 3 days from the billing statement to cancel, but they DO NOT notify you when the charge has been made. So, unless you monitor your credit card activity very closely (i.e. every day), you’ll miss it, since the only way for you to see the charges is in your statement, and by then it’s too late.
They are also very rigid with this policy and absolutely refuse any refunds, which is disingenuous in the least, since they try to woo exec-level customers.
